REVISED FORMS
As the August 17 deadline approaches for new practices in the real estate industry, HHAR is making its revised HHAR Purchase for Sale Agreement and HHAR Residential Lot Agreement available to members. These forms highlight the amendments that have been made as a result of the settlement.
We are currently working with vendors (i.e. zipForms, Transaction Desk) to upload the new forms. These forms may not be available through our vendor websites by August 17 due to the volume of changes across the country. Please bookmark this page to access the forms until our vendors have made them available.
NAR Settlement Agreement – The Facts
On March 14, the National Association of Realtors® announced a proposed settlement agreement that would end litigation claims brought on behalf of home sellers related to broker commissions. The agreement would resolve claims against NAR, over one million NAR members, all state/territorial and local Realtor® associations, all association-owned Multiple Listing Services (MLSs), and all brokerages with an NAR member as principal that had a residential transaction volume in 2022 of $2 billion or below. The settlement is subject to court approval.
It is important to note that practices will not change immediately. The changes, if approved by the court, will be implemented in mid-July.
