Have you made the commitment to the real estate profession? If the answer is yes, than make a commitment to your REALTOR® Association. By joining a committee you will increase your knowledge of the industry by sharing ideas and different perspectives. It allows you to network with your peers gaining you a competitive edge when working together on a transaction. You will make new friends by meeting new and interesting people. When serving a on committee, you know your time will be well spent by contributing to your professional organization dedicated to the highest level of ethical service to its members and the public.
Professional Development
The purpose of this committee is to develop education, career and professional development sessions relevant to our members’ success that will increase their skills and knowledge about the industry and local market. Meets 8-10 times a year. Anyone can attend.
Legislative/RPAC Committee
The purpose of the Legislative/RPAC Committee is to advance public policies and candidates that build strong communities, protect property interests and promote a vibrant business environment. The committee is informed on issues and proposed legislation that could impact HHAR and the communities its members serve by the Government Affairs Director. The committee will be educated on topics and evaluate local legislation that could have a significant impact to the industry or homeownership and determine any necessary action plan. Two subcommittees are formed for candidate screening and RPAC fundraising and awareness. Meets 8-10 times a year. Anyone can attend.
Community Outreach
The purpose of this committee is to promote and create of cultural of “giving back” through the Association’s involvement in the community projects, participation, fundraising and service. Events include The Children’s Center Spaghetti Dinner, School Supply Drive, REALTORS® Helping Neighbors etc. Meets 8-10 times a year. Anyone can attend.
Young Professional Network

REALTOR® Service Award
Each year this committee recognizes those members who have achieved high levels of education, professional development and Association involvement, as well as serving the community by volunteering your time, talent or financial support. The committee reviews and approves applications. Meets 3-4 times per year. Anyone can attend.
Membership Connection Committee
The Membership Connection Committee is dedicated to welcoming, supporting, and engaging members throughout their REALTOR® journey. Committee members reach out to new members with a personal phone call to introduce the association, answer questions, and help them feel connected from the start.
Committee members also invite REALTORS® to get involved in upcoming events and provide a brief overview of the association’s committees, programs, and volunteer opportunities. When desired, members of the committee may meet with new members for coffee or personally invite and accompany them to an event to help build relationships and encourage involvement.
In addition to welcoming new members, the committee may reach out to members who appear disengaged to reconnect with the association, better understand their needs, and encourage renewed participation.
The goal of the Membership Connection Committee is to foster meaningful connections, increase engagement, and ensure every member feels welcomed, informed, and supported.
